1.8 world progress checklist.

The new world i built does not seem to be working. Clients freeze frequently. I tried the same world on single player and it worked perfectly. If anyone knows a solution please post it. I used mcedit mac to edit the world.

Nevermind! i got it. The new world i made seems to work perfectly.

This world has most of the houses from the original world and all the public areas and major towns. Except everything is very close to each other! Not too close that it seems squished, but close enough so everything is easy walking distance. Before, new players wouldn't go to places like the museum, cloud9 and iron haven until a while after they joined and looked at the warps. Now, everything is easy to walk to.

Anywhere not prebuilt with man-made stuff is all 1.8. Yes, that does mean ravines, rivers, mineshafts, bigger caves, and those things that go down the sides of trees that every1 loves :D.

One problem so far with this world is that there are alot of sudden steep cliffs that arent natural. This is because its very difficult to copy and paste something from one world to another and them having similar high and low areas. as we get commands such as world edit the admins will probably be fixing these. Another easier solution that i found online which seems promising is a script that turns steep cliff edges into less steep cliffs with small rivers at the bottom, apparantly making the areas seem nicer and more natural.

the big wood 1 that is farther down near the big city? that one is town 1, and its been done
